Tax Returns

Prepared by a specialist. Reviewed by someone else. Then filed.

Personal, corporate and trust returns for the CRA, and Revenu Québec where it applies. Every return is prepared by someone who works the Income Tax Act daily, and checked by a second reviewer before anything goes in through EFILE.

What is included

Everything in scope, listed plainly.

Included in your fixed monthly fee. If something falls outside it, we tell you before the work starts, not after.

Personal returns (T1)

Employment, investment, rental (T776), foreign and self-employment (T2125) income. RRSP, FHSA, child care, moving, tuition, medical and donation claims, each checked against your last notice of assessment.

Corporate returns (T2)

T2 returns with GIFI financial statements and every schedule that applies, plus T5 slips for dividends paid and the small business deduction claimed correctly.

Partnerships and trusts

T5013 partnership returns and T3 trust returns, with slips issued to every partner and beneficiary on time.

GST/HST, PST and QST

Sales tax returns on your reporting period, reconciled to the ledger before filing, with input tax credits claimed in full.

Instalments

Quarterly personal or monthly corporate instalments, calculated on whichever CRA option costs you least, so you never overfund or pay instalment interest.

Prior-year catch-up

Unfiled years brought current in the order the CRA expects, with a Voluntary Disclosures Program application or a request for penalty and interest relief where it applies.

Notices, reviews and objections

Processing reviews, matching letters, pre- and post-assessment reviews, notices of objection and audit support. We get authorised through Represent a Client, handle the correspondence and send you the summary.

Questions

Common questions.

Anything not covered here, ask on the call. There is no charge for questions.

When is my return due?
April 30 for most people. If you or your spouse or common-law partner is self-employed, the filing deadline is June 15, but any balance owing is still due on April 30 and interest runs from May 1.
What if I am several years behind?
Common, and fixable. We work backwards in the order the CRA expects, and where penalties apply we prepare a Voluntary Disclosures Program or taxpayer relief application alongside the filings.
Do you prepare Quebec returns?
Yes. Quebec residents file a federal T1 with the CRA and a TP-1 with Revenu Québec. We prepare both, with the RL slips reconciled to the federal ones.
Do you handle audits and reviews?
Yes. Correspondence, review requests and notices of objection on returns we prepared are included in your fixed fee. Representation on returns prepared by someone else is scoped separately.
